Samantha Lynn Timmins

GREENE – Our beautiful daughter, Samantha Lynn Timmins, born March 30, 1995, died unexpectedly at just 27 years old, on Nov. 15, 2022.

Sam leaves behind her mother who misses her so much, Shelby Briggs, her stepdad Christopher Gresham, her two younger siblings, Isabel Often and PJ Often, her two dogs Frank and Cleo, her two very best friends, Amber Damico and Michaela Smith, and many other friends & family who loved and adored her.

Samantha loved animals, Maine’s majestic wilderness, Moosehead Lake, the ocean, the rivers, streams, hills, and farmlands. She loved her dogs like they were royalty and referred to her dog Frank as her soulmate and the two each devoted themselves to one another as though they were just that.

Samantha was a fun-loving young woman with a beautiful heart and the most gorgeous smile. She was an empath who was filled with kindness, never meeting a stranger and always saw the very best in people. Samantha’s laugh was sensational and met and comforted her mother’s soul in a way no words could ever convey. She shared that laugh with many and had hilariously personal jokes with each of her loved ones but especially with her mother and siblings. Sam was notorious for lightening the mood at serious occasions by telling silly jokes that beckoned laughs from all around because her delightfully contagious laughter could reach even the weariest.

“What do nosey peppers do?”…”They get Jalapeno business!”

Samantha’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m., at A.T. Hutchins, located at 660 Brighton Avenue in Portland. All who loved her, or those who love and support her family members, are welcome to attend.

Samantha would want any donations to go to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland

to repay them for all of the times her beloved late dog, Lily, was “arrested” for running loose and

held overnight there awaiting bail
