The Scarborough Bureau of Motor Vehicles branch will be closed Friday as the cleanup of water damage continues.

During a cold snap earlier this month, a roof drain broke and water flowed into the branch, which is located in The Gateway Shoppes at Scarborough shopping center. Clean up of the damage has been ongoing.

BMV staff will be reassigned to other branches Friday to increase capacity at those sites.

Commercial driver’s license road and skill tests that have been scheduled at the Scarborough Department of Transportation lot are not affected by the branch closing.
