Excellent article on the pay scale of the governor of the state of Maine (“Top job, low pay: No governor makes less than Maine’s,” Feb. 25). No matter who holds that office, the pay hasn’t changed in 36 years.

Someone should take a closer look at the salaries of all for state, county, city and town officials who make more money than the governor: city administrators, town managers, public works directors, clerks, etc. They should look at how much money they make, including for any overtime work.

I know that my town manager makes about twice as much as Gov. Mills. This is not right.
