We all know too much of a good thing can be bad for us. What about “too much headlights?” Grammatically incorrect, but it does say it all. Those super bright white headlights are just too much.
I think it’s fair to say we do not purchase a vehicle with this type of headlight as a priority. We want comfort, technology and safety, and while those headlights may be beneficial to the operator, they are a detriment to the rest of us. To count the number of times I’ve been blinded by those lights, or arrived at my destination with a splitting headache … well I just don’t have enough digits to do that. Isn’t it fair to say enough is enough? The lawmakers, for safety sake, have us all wearing seatbelts. I say now it’s time to do away with those super bright headlights, for safety’s sake.
By law we all need to get our vehicles inspected. Wouldn’t this be an appropriate time to replace those headlight bulbs with the “old fashioned” type? A nice yellow glow that can be easily identified if it’s in the “high beam” mode or not. I will signal someone with a flash of my high beams to remind them to turn theirs down, only to find out theirs were already on low beam. I hope this letter will light a fire under the seat of someone in power.
