Lillian (Kloth) Eastman

FALMOUTH – Lillian (Kloth) Eastman, 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 13, 2023. She was born in Westbrook to her parents Julius and Anna (Warming) Kloth.

She graduated from Falmouth schools. She did clerical work for The Portland Company, W.T. Grant and Sears Roebuck, retiring in 1990 from Sears. Her hobbies included quilting, painting, cross country skiing, and crossword puzzles. She also loved swimming at her cottage at Highland Lake and was waterskiing into her 70s. She enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Canada, a cruise and motorcoach trips throughout the eastern United States.

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, C. Harry Eastman; a son, Gary P. Eastman; and a grandson, Ryan Cook.

Lillian is survived by one daughter, Janine C. Cook, her husband, Robert Cook, three sons, Linwood “Woody” Eastman, his wife, Linda Eastman, Norris Eastman, his wife Cathleen, Brian Eastman, his wife Jeanine, and a daughter-in-law, Susan Eastman. She had eight grandchildren, Greg Cook (Christina), Jill C. E. Cahoon (Andrew), Adam Eastman (Samantha), Allison Eastman, Matthew Eastman, Nickolas Eastman, Stephanie Dippel (Tylor), and Christopher Eastman (Tabitha); 11 great-grandchildren, Robbie Cook, Emily Cook, Annabelle (Cook) Bennett, Julia Cahoon, Sophia Cahoon, Mason Eastman, Asher Eastman, Lily Eastman, Carter Eastman, Peyton Dippel and Luke Dippel.

She was lovingly devoted to her family and was always very generous, kind and caring. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. It didn’t seem that a large family overwhelmed her. She very much enjoyed having everyone together.

Lillian was a 70-year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook where her grandfather was a pastor at one time. Many thanks to Pastor Karen and members of the congregation who visited Lillian regularly and kept her informed of church activities. Many thanks and appreciation also go to The Park Danforth and Sedgewood Commons for their kind and compassionate care.

A memorial service will be held in early May. To express condolences or to participate in Lillian’s tribute, please visit http://www.DolbyBlaisSegee.Com
