Author and inspirational speaker Alvin Law gives a presentation at Falmouth Middle School. Contributed / Steven Trockman

Bestselling author Alvin Law, who was born with no arms, urged students at Falmouth Middle School to leave the world better than they found it during a visit to the school earlier this month.

Law spoke to about 450 students about how to be a successful, compassionate, positive and engaged human being, told stories and played the drums.

He emphasized that having the right attitude in life can help people overcome any adversity, and encouraged students to stop making excuses and start making choices. Having a positive attitude, Law said, “really does make a difference,” according to a press release from the school.
