Yarmouth has begun to update its Comprehensive Plan and is encouraging residents to get involved in the process over the next 18 months.
The Comprehensive Plan guides the Planning Board and Town Council in decision-making that reflects a shared vision of the community’s future. It will be developed by the town Planning Department, with North Star Planning of New Gloucester providing technical assistance, research and analysis.
A 17-member volunteer Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee will host a series of public events, including focus groups, listening sessions and online surveys, to encourage community member participation.
