Jim Harnden

Bryan Plourde

The Dunham Group has hired Jim Harnden as a broker and partner, and Bryan Plourde as a broker/sales agent. Harnden comes to the Portland commercial real estate firm with over 35 years of experience in the field. Most recently, he was president of Harnden Commercial Brokers. Plourde previously worked for 10 years as a commercial real estate appraiser at Maine Valuation Co., and also served as a financial adviser with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch in Boston.

RuthAnn Riggs

RuthAnn Riggs has been named chief growth officer at Constant, a Portland financial technology company developing loan management software. Most recently, Riggs served as chief operations officer at Credit Union Loan Source and a senior vice president at SunTrust Bank. In addition to her appointment, Constant has also promoted Lindsay Wescott to senior vice president, customer delivery, and Nicole Cluff to vice president, head of customer success and services.

Shane Patrick joins Whitetail Properties Real Estate as a land specialist. Patrick is the owner of Pleasant Pond Orchard in Richmond. Whitetail Properties is a brokerage for hunting, ranch and farm land, with operations in 39 states.

PROMOTIONS

Sebago Technics, a South Portland-based engineering firm, has promoted seven members of its Project Delivery Team. Caitlyn Abbott has been promoted to director of project delivery, after beginning as a project delivery coordinator in 2021. Henry Hess, Aaron Hunter and Chris Taylor have each been promoted to project managers. Paul Ostrowski and Brandon Blake have been promoted to project delivery engineering and design managers. Kendra Ramsell and Matt Orr have been promoted to team lead positions.

The MEMIC Group has promoted three employees to management roles: Janine Bard has been named director of claims, Maine region; Ben Delcourt has been appointed director of underwriting; and Kaila MacCracken is the new director of financial planning. The MEMIC Group, headquartered in Portland, provides workers’ compensation insurance for 20,000 employers across the country.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Portland law firm Drummond Woodsum has elected Michael-Corey Hinton to its board of directors, and Joanna Brown Tourangeau was reelected for a new term. Hinton is leader of the firm’s Tribal Nations Practice Group and is a citizen of the Passamaquoddy Tribe (Sipayik). Prior to joining Drummond Woodsum, he served with the National Indian Gaming Commission and the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. Tourangeau is leader of the firm’s Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group and has over 20 years of experience serving clients in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

RECOGNITIONS

Michelle York, supportive services director at Westbrook Housing, received an Award of Excellence for Resident and Client Services at the annual conference of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, held in Washington, D.C. The Awards of Excellence are chosen by national juries and recognize outstanding work being done by housing and community development agencies throughout the country.

Anna Moorman, of Camden-based Allen Insurance and Financial, has been recognized with a gold level award for Medicare supplement sales in 2022 by Anthem Inc. Anthem is one of the largest Medicare supplement carriers in the state of Maine. Moorman, who has been with Allen Insurance and Financial since 2012, has received an award from Anthem for eight consecutive years.

Robertson P. Breed, of F.L. Putnam Investment Management Co. in Portland, has been named to the Barron’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors by State list for the fifth consecutive year. Breed joined F.L. Putnam in 1991, and serves as managing director of investment advisory services.
