Cooper St. Hilaire had three hits and combined with Oscar Twining on a six-hitter as Waynflete/NYA stayed undefeated with a 12-2 win over Maranacook in a Class C South baseball game Wednesday at Readfield.

Daxton St. Hilaire and Tanner Anctil added two hits apiece as the Flyers (8-0) built a 7-1 lead after two innings and finished with 12 hits. Twining earned the win in relief.

Jake McLaughlin had two hits for Maranacook (3-6).

POLAND 4, FREEPORT 3: Sam Paladino’s two-run triple ignited a three-run sixth inning as the Knights (4-5) rallied past the Falcons (5-5) in Poland.

Gene Grant added three hits for the Knights, who trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the sixth.

Winning pitcher Adam Gwarjanski struck out nine batters. Regan Cohen got the final two outs for a save.

YARMOUTH 9, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Liam Hickey racked up nine strikeouts as the Clippers (4-2) beat the Patriots (1-8) in Yarmouth.

Jack Janczuk led Yarmouth at the plate with three RBI. Sam Lowenstein had a double and a single, and Johnny Cody and Matt Gautreau each contributed two singles.

GREELY 11, YORK 1: Keeler Vogt pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts, and Greely (6-3) scored all of its runs in the final thee innings to defeat the Wildcats (3-6) in five innings at York.

Sam Almy had a homer and single for Greely, which trailed 1-0 before scoring five runs in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Marky Axelsen and Cam Irish each added two hits.

Brad Carr homered for York in the second inning.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, LAKE REGION 2: Michael Malia singled home the tying and go-ahead runs in the fourth inning, and the Raiders (6-4) added four runs in the sixth to pull away from the Lakers (1-7) at Fryeburg.

The four-run sixth included RBI doubles by Alexis Castillo and Alex Allain and a run-scoring single by Bryce Richardson.

Bryan Martinez allowed one hit over five innings, striking out three.

MT. ARARAT 3, WELLS 1: The Eagles (3-3) plated all their runs in the third inning as they defeated the Warriors (6-3) in Topsham.

Ethan Berry and Parker Lohr each had two hits and an RBI, while starting pitcher Andrew Clemons allowed three hits over six innings. Landen Chase pitched a scoreless seventh for the save.

Spencer Carpenter had two hits for Wells. Keith Ramsey gave up five hits over six innings.

MORSE 2, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: Gavin Baillargeon struck out 11 over 6 2/3 innings as the Shipbuilders (3-6) won at home.

Baillargeon allowed four hits and three walks. Oscar Nelson recorded the final out to earn the save.

Caleb Sommers and Calin Gould each doubled for Morse, and Ashford Hays and Wyatt Wallace-Craney scored the Shipbuilders’ runs.

Matthew Holbrook tossed a four-hitter for Medomak Valley (5-3), striking out eight while walking two.

LACROSSE

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, WINDHAM 6: Beckett Mehlhorn, Lucas Mehlhorn and Brady Demers scored three goals each to lead the Red Riots (7-1) over the Eagles (4-4) at South Portland.

Jack Dreifus also scored for South Portland, which led 6-2 at halftime.

Evan Yale and Alex Yeaton each had two goals for the Eagles; Jake Lord and Blake McPherson also scored.

South Portland goalie Ben Kieu made 12 saves. Windham’s Reed Wescott stopped 23 shots.

MT. ARARAT 9, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: Kevin Hawkes and John Martin each scored three goals to lead Mt. Ararat (5-4) over Lincoln Academy (4-4) in Topsham.

Wes Wallace added a goal and two assists. Nelson Balboni made eight saves for Mt. Ararat.

SCARBOROUGH 7, GORHAM 6: Ben Kerbel made 15 saves as the Red Storm (3-5) held off a late comeback by Gorham (3-4) in Scarborough.

Drew Witas and Olin Pedersen each scored twice for Scarborough, which led 7-2 through three quarters.

Haden Pelletier scored two goals for the Rams.

FALMOUTH 19, PORTLAND 4: Gio Guerrette netted five goals and Cyrus Boothby had four as the Navigators (6-1) handled the Bulldogs (4-4) in Falmouth.

Hayden Davis and Joey Guerrette each chipped in with three goals.

WELLS 19, TRAIP ACADEMY 8: Gavyn Petrie scored seven goals and Nathan Bolduc added four as the Warriors (7-2) won at home against the Rangers (4-4).

Eli Steere chipped in with three goals, Calvin Chase and Jonah Curley added two apiece, and Griffin Brickett also scored.

Tucker Johnson led Traip with three goals and an assist. Eli Holben and Joey Watts each added two goals, and Aram Brewer got one.
