An annual benefit concert last weekend for Make-A-Wish Maine raised more over $4,000, according to organizer Jeff Glidden of South Portland.

The money from the Drumming Up Wishes concert will be used to sponsor Glidden at the annual Walk For Wishes in Portland on Thursday, an event for which he has routinely been the top individual donor. This is the sixth year Glidden will be participating in the walk.

Funky Bow Brewing in Lyman, where the concert is held every year, reported on Facebook that the show helped Glidden eclipse his overall goal of raising $10,000 for the walk this year.

Glidden started The Drumming Up Wishes concerts after his two daughters received wishes from Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit organization that supports children with critical illnesses.
