Caleb Vacchiano went 4 for 4 with a home run and five RBI, leading Sacopee Valley to a 12-1 win over Waynflete in a clash between undefeated Class C baseball teams, at Portland.

Vacchiano and Brady Metcalf hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning. Keegan Thibodeau also homered, and Sacopee (9-0) hammered out 12 hits.

Carson Black pitched a three-hitter while striking out nine.

Waynflete/NYA dropped to 8-1.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, GREELY 2: Antonio Dell’Aquila’s RBI single in the 10th inning gave the Capers (8-0) a win over the Rangers (6-4) in Cape Elizabeth.

Greely grabbed a 2-1 lead on a fielder’s choice in the top of the eighth and was one strike away from victory in the bottom half, but Owen Tighe tied it again with an RBI double.

Jameson Bryant held Greely to one hit and an unearned run through six innings while striking out nine. Curtis Sullivan got the win after two scoreless innings of relief.

Rangers starter Sam Almy gave up four hits over seven innings.

SCARBOROUGH 4, KENNEBUNK 3: The Red Storm (7-1) scored three runs in the first inning with the help of three hit batters and a two-run single from Matthew Fallona, then held off the Rams (4-6) at Kennebunk.

Tyler Archambault and Nate Masters combined on a five-hitter, with Masters pitching the final 3 2/3 innings.

Max Andrews hit a home run and a single for Kennebunk.

NOBLE 6, CHEVERUS 3: Carl Gregoire pitched a three-hitter and drove in two runs to lead the Knights (5-4) over the Stags (6-3) in North Berwick.

Gregoire walked two and allowed one earned run. Chase Dodier also drove in two runs, and Nathan Locke had two hits for Noble, which erase a 2-0 deficit with four runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Matthew Connor finished with two hits and an RBI for Cheverus. Liam Backman and Noah Kennedy-Jensen drove in the Stags’ other runs.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, DEERING 0: Nolan Hobbs hit a three-run inside-the-park homer, and Hudson Iacuessa gave up just one hit in his first varsity start as the Red Riots (7-2) defeated the Rams (0-8) in a five-inning game at South Portland.

Easton Healy chipped in with two hits and two runs scored.

South Portland put the mercy rule into effect by scoring four runs in the fifth.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Ian Libby homered, struck out 15 and allowed only two hits as the Patriots (2-8) shut out the Rangers (2-9) in Kittery.

Andrew Keddy and Nick Greer each had an RBI.

Zach Stacy and losing pitcher Colby Christiansen were the only two Traip players to notch a hit.

YORK 11, LAKE REGION 1: John Jacobsohn pitched a one-hitter with five strikeouts, and Jake Fogg had two hits and two RBI as the Wildcats (4-6) downed the Lakers (1-8) in a five-inning game at Naples.

Jacob Chadbourne hit an RBI single for Lake Region.

MORSE 1, MT. ARARAT 0: A pitching violation resulted in the Shipbuilders (4-6) receiving a forfeit win despite the Eagles (3-4) leading 7-6 at the completion of play.

Caleb Sommers was 4 for 4 with two runs scored for Morse. Caleb Harvey had three hits and three RBI, and Gavin Baillargeon added two hits and two RBI.

Parker Lohr and Jesse Bowker had two hits apiece for Mt. Ararat. Bowker allowed four hits in three innings of relief.

EDWARD LITTLE 3, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Brady Vincent surrendered just four hits while racking up nine strikeouts as the Red Eddies (5-5) beat the Windjammers (1-7) at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Campbell Cassidy tripled home Eli St. Laurent in the first inning, then scored to make it 2-0. Gage Ducharme added a pinch-hit RBI single in the sixth.

Cam Brown had two hits for Camden Hills. Hunter Bell went the distance on the mound and allowed three hits.

BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 4, HALL-DALE 0: Gryffin Kristan struck out eight in five innings as the Seahawks (2-6) earned a shutout win in Farmingdale.

Kristan allowed five hits and walked one. Finn Harkins followed with two innings of two-hit relief.

Liam Thomas had two hits for Boothbay/Wiscasset.

Keegan Bellerose was 3 for 3 for for Hall-Dale (4-5) and struck out eight while giving up six hits.
