Old Orchard Beach police are investigating an incident in which two people suffered cuts on Monday afternoon.

Officers responding to a residence on Atlantic Avenue around 3:30 p.m. found two people with cuts to the neck and hands, Deputy Police Chief David Hemingway told News Center Maine.

Hemingway did not identify the people, say what type of instrument caused the cuts or what led to their wounds.

Ambulances took the individuals to a hospital for treatment.

Their wounds do not appear to be life-threatening, Hemingway told the station.
