Ryan Turenne’s grand slam capped a five-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning as Maine ended its baseball regular season with an 11-8 win over Bryant in an America East game Saturday in Orono.

Quinn McDaniel led off the ninth with his second home run of the game, cutting Maine’s deficit to 8-7. Jeremiah Jenkins was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double, but Connor Goodman reached on an error, Nick White doubled, and Matt McElwain was intentionally walked to load the bases for Turenne. The senior catcher hit a drive over the right-field fence for his eighth home run of the season.

White homered in the second inning as part of a 4 for 5 day. McDaniel hit a two-run homer in the fifth.

The Black Bears (29-19, 19-5 America East) are the No. 1 seed for the six-team double-elimination America East tournament that starts Wednesday in Binghamton, New York. Maine has a bye on Wednesday and will play its opening game Thursday morning.
