Josh Kopetski hit a three-run double as the Thornton Academy baseball team rallied from a three-run deficit with six runs in the seventh inning to beat Cheverus, 6-3, on Tuesday in Portland.

Evan Beaudette added a two-run double and Henry Lausier an RBI single in the seventh for the Golden Trojans (9-5). Owen Crutchley allowed a hit and a walk, but struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh to earn the save.

Noah Kennedy-Jensen had a two-run single in the third and Liam Backman a RBI single in the sixth for the Stags (8-5).

SCARBOROUGH 2, PORTLAND 1: Zak Sanders reached on an infield single to score Ashton Blanchette with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Scarborough (10-3) a 2-1 win over Portland (2-12) in Scarborough.

The Red Storm took a 1-0 lead in the sixth with an unearned run, but with two outs in the top of the seventh, Lucas Milliken doubled home Finn Tidd to tie it.

Sanders also earned the win in relief of Harrison Griffiths, going five innings and allowing just one run.

Blanchette, Griffiths and Mason Porter had multiple hits for Scarborough.

FALMOUTH 2, MARSHWOOD 1: Brennan Rumpf pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts, and the Navigators (12-1) scored in the sixth and seventh innings to slip past the Hawks (8-5) in Falmouth.

Noah Fitzgerald struck out nine for the Hawks, who broke a scoreless tie with a run in the top of the sixth.

Mitchell Ham had a sacrifice fly for Falmouth.

NOBLE 5, BIDDEFORD 0: Nathan Locke pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts to lead the Knights (6-7) past Biddeford (5-8) in North Berwick.

Connor McCabe, Maison Mathews and Carl Gregoire drove in runs for Noble, which scored two runs in each of the first two innings.

Dom Smith had two hits for the Tigers.

GORHAM 14, DEERING 4: Miles Brenner came in for the fourth and threw three no-hit innings to earn the win as Gorham (8-5) topped Deering (0-13) at home.

Jack Karlonas had two hits, two walks, three RBI and two runs scored for Gorham. Quinn Dillon also had three hits.

Avery Lawrence had three strikeouts over five innings while collecting a hit and run scored for Deering.

KENNEBUNK 2, WINDHAM 1: Drew Sliwkowski singled to lead off the bottom of the sixth inning and scored on Hayden Furber’s sacrifice fly to give the the Rams (6-7) a win over the Eagles (5-8) in Kennebunk.

Sliwkowski and James DiGiovanni both managed multiple hits for Kennebunk. Quinn MacDonald picked up the win in two innings of relief.

Logan Marden scored on a single by Wyatt Washburn for Windham.

MORSE 3, LEAVITT 2: The Shipbuilders (6-8) scored in the ninth inning, and three pitchers combined on a one-hitter to earn the win in Bath.

Gavin Baillargeon (six innings), Calin Gould (two) and Caleb Harvey (one) teamed up to stifle the Hornets (7-7). Baillargeon struck out 13 batters while walking five. He also had two hits, two walks and scored two runs.

Will Keach had Leavitt’s hit. Starting pitcher Colton Taylor allowed four hits over six innings.

OXFORD HILLS 11, YARMOUTH 0: Eli Soehren allowed one hit in five innings as the Vikings (11-2) beat the Clippers (10-3) in South Paris.

Soehren struck out six for the Vikings, who scored four runs in the third inning to take control.

David Swift singled in the fourth for Yarmouth.

MT. ABRAM 12, BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 4: The Roadrunners (10-3) scored six runs in the sixth inning to beat the Seahawks (4-9) in Salem Township.

Bryce Wilcox had two singles and and double, while Logan Dube added two singles and Tucker Plouffe a triple for Mt. Abram.

Maddox Cusumano homered for Boothbay/Wiscasset.

SOFTBALL

LEAVITT 5, MORSE 2: Maddy Dutil singled twice and drove in two runs to lead the Hornets (10-4) to victory over the Shipbuilders (10-4) in Turner.

Sam Withee added two singles and a double for Leavitt. Abby Albert earned the win, striking out nine in five innings. Emily Poland pitched the final two innings to earn the save.

Camdyn Johnson struck out 13 batters in six innings for Morse. Haley Jackson doubled for the Shipbuilders.

SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 15, NOBLE 1: Grace Wallace had two singles and five RBI as the Red Riots (11-3) cruised past the Knights (3-10) in North Berwick.

Haley Ball, Madison Cole and Delaney Whitten all had one RBI for South Portland/Westbrook.

Kathleen Cote notched an RBI single for Westbrook.

WINDHAM 22, FALMOUTH 0: Kennedy Kimball threw a five-inning one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and zero walks, lifting the Eagles (13-1) over the Navigators (0-14) in Falmouth.

Kimball also went 3 for 4 at the plate for Windham. Hannah Heanssler, Chloe Edwards, and Brooke Gerry all collected multiple hits.

Ava Walker singled in the fifth inning for Falmouth to break up the perfect game.

OXFORD HILLS 23, YARMOUTH 2: Maddy Miller hit a grand slam and the Vikings (12-1) beat the Clippers (5-8) in Paris.

Miller also pitched all five innings for Oxford Hills, striking out six, walking one and allowing five hits.

Kaydence Morse tripled and singled for the Vikings, while Kyeria Morse and Miah Gallon had a double and a single apiece. Gigi DeVivo also had a pair of hits.

MT. ABRAM 28, WISCASSET/BOOTHBAY 5: Abi Wilcox singled, doubled and tripled to lead the Roadrunners (5-9) past the Wolverines (0-14) in Salem.

Adrianna Stinchfield went three innings to get the win. Amy Caton and Ivory Cote each singled for the Wolverines.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

SOUTH PORTLAND 18, PORTLAND 7: Lucas Mehlhorn and Beckett Mehlhorn scored four goals each, and Jack Dreifus had three goals and seven assists as the Red Riots (9-2) defeated the Bulldogs (6-6) at Portland.

Brady Demers and Ian House added two goals each.

Andy Marvin had six goals and Louis Thurston one for Portland.

MARSHWOOD 16, YORK 12: Tommy Demeroto had four goals and four assists while Kevin Cougler had two goals and six assists, as the Hawks (6-4) beat the Wildcats (7-4) in York.

Jackson Hamilton added four goals and an assist for Marshwood. Quinn Maguire and Chase Turcotte each scored twice and goalie Luke Dockham made 10 saves. Milo Closson had a goal and three assists.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

LINCOLN ACADEMY 16, MCI/NOKOMIS 5: Mariam Delisle had six goals and an assist to lead the Eagles (9-2) past the Huskies (1-10) in Pittsfield.

Remy LeBel and Celia Brinkler each added three goals for Lincoln Academy. Abby Kopp and Scarlett Obrien scored twice and Hunter Gilmore made 12 saves.

Emberli Michaud led MCI with three goals and Emily Strout had two.

WAYNFLETE 19, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 12: Tisley Kelly scored seven goals and the Flyers (5-7) pulled away in the second half to defeat the Patriots (3-8) in Portland.

Skylar Harris added five goals, Keegan Dolan had three and Morgan Earls two for Waynflete. Sasha Melnick and Lauren McNutt-Girouard also scored for the Flyers.

Andrea Smith led the Patriots with five goals. Lexi Wallingford and Hannah Bolduc added two each, and Samantha Poulin, Emma McMahon and Amelia Foster also scored.
