FALMOUTH — Peaches Stucker scored her 100th career point as Falmouth defeated Biddeford, 18-6, in a Class A girls’ lacrosse quarterfinal Saturday. So it’s only natural that when asked about the milestone, the junior shared the credit.

“I had no clue it was coming. It’s not just me who did it. Every assist comes from someone. It’s all my teammates,” said Stucker, who had four goals and four assists in the win.

“She is a workhorse. The quintessential Peaches is her boxing out another player for a ground ball or streaking through the midfield with the ball in her stick. She’s so fast,” said Falmouth Coach Ashley Pullen.

Second-seeded Falmouth (15-1) will host No. 3 Yarmouth (12-4) in the semifinals Wednesday. No. 7 Biddeford ends its season at 11-5.

The Tigers kept the game close for the first 10 minutes, and held a 3-2 lead on Abby Bouffard’s goal with 15:01 left in the first half. The Navigators tied it 34 seconds later with a Lucy Taylor goal, and took the lead for good on a goal by Maeve Ginevan with 10:32 left in the half.

“Give Biddeford a lot of credit. They came out very fired up and very aggressive and hungry for ground balls and for possessions. They played like they had nothing to lose, and it took us a little while to adjust to that,” Pullen said.

Falmouth scored 10 consecutive goals, including three in 32 seconds in the second half, to pull away. Taylor had five goals, while Ginevan and Adelaide Tolley each scored three. Maisy Clement had five assists and two goals.

“Once we get going, we’re kind of unstoppable, I think. We’re fast in the midfield,” Stucker said.

Falmouth played without top scorer Sloane Ginevan, who was at an event at Notre Dame, where she’ll play college lacrosse next season. Pullen declined comment when asked if Ginevan will return for Wednesday’s game.
