Maine residents can attend a Maine Roller Derby tournament at a discounted price this weekend in Westbrook.

Tickets are $15 for a single-day pass and $25 for a two-day pass. But if you’re a Maine resident, use the code MAINER at checkout to receive a 50% discount.

Last week, we suggested you follow Maine Roller Derby on Facebook, but when we found out about this deal, we had to share the deets on the league’s first international tournament.

Skatecationland: The Way Derby Should Be is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Happy Wheels Skate Center, 3 Chabot St., Westbrook.

The tournament features Bux-Mont Roller Derby from Hatfield, Pennsylvania; the Muddy River Rollers from Moncton, New Brunswick; and Lehigh Valley Roller Derby, based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. They’ll all be hitting the flat track against MRD all-star skaters. Maine Roller Derby is ranked 56th in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association’s Northeast region, and the outcome of these bouts could impact that.

So be sure to cheer extra loud for the lead jammer (with the star on her helmet) as she racks up points whizzing around the track. Win or lose, the nonstop action will be thrilling.

Head to mainerollerderby.com to get in on this deal.
