Republican Michael Pock will challenge incumbent Democrat Matthew Beck in November for the House District 122 seat, representing part of South Portland.
Pock defeated his opponent Patricia von Schaumburg 87 to 33 in Tuesday’s primary election, according to unofficial results.
Beck won the House District 122 seat last year in a special election following the death of longtime Rep. Louis Reckitt.
House District 122 encompasses the northeastern portion of South Portland from Ferry Village south to the Cape Elizabeth border and southwest into Knightville.
