A police cruiser and a person on a scooter collided Friday morning at the intersection of Preble Street and Marginal Way.
The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. and the person on the scooter was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, NewsCenter Maine reported. The officer who was driving the cruiser was not hurt.
Police told the TV station that the officer had a green light and was driving through the intersection when the collision happened. Police planned to review video footage of the incident as part of their investigation.
Neither the officer nor the person on the scooter was identified. Police officials did not respond to multiple requests for more information Friday.
