I had the honor and the privilege to serve as state administrator for Sen. King.
For three years, I had the opportunity to watch, learn and listen as I worked closely with him. As we traveled around the state, Angus (as he liked to be called) would be knee-deep researching or studying the events that are so important to the people of Maine and the country.
He has constantly supported better health care for all Americans, he continues to work tirelessly to improve veterans benefits, and he has a deep concern for climate change.
I attended constituent meetings where audience members disagreed with Sen. King on issues. He would say, “Change my mind – tell me why you think this is not good,” then he would jot down notes to refer to long after the meetings were over.
A vote for Angus King is not only a vote for Maine but a vote for our country.
