I’m a retired pastor, wife, mother, grandmother and a proud U.S. citizen. My dad was awarded five Bronze Stars for his service in WWII and worked over 40 years at Heald Machine Co. to support our family of six. My mom, a dedicated LPN, cared for the sick, including patients with tuberculosis, dementia and mental illnesses.
Registered Republicans, my parents would be aghast at the abuse of power by MAGA Republicans, corruption in the Supreme Court, and a presidential candidate guilty of 34 felony counts, charged with illegal possession of classified national security documents, and interference with the peaceful transfer of power by fraudulent schemes and incitement of violence. There’s no chance they would have supported Trump.
I am 74 years old. I am not worried that Biden may be unable to serve four more years but that Trump might serve a single day. I want my grandchildren to grow up in a free and democratic country, not a dictatorship. I will cast my vote for Joe Biden.
