
Irene M. Turcotte peacefully passed away at Southridge Nursing Home on July 6, 2024.
Irene came to Biddeford with her husband and family from Notre Dame Des Bois, Quebec, Canada, in 1949, and remained a lifelong resident of the Biddeford and Saco area. She was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She loved playing games with them and having pizza with them, liked to read, liked going to beach and liked her pier fries and pizza at Old Orchard Beach. Irene and Charles went on many trips to Florida, Canada, and Arizona, and later Irene travelled to the same places on her own. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. She had numerous jobs with many years at John Robert’s Manufacturing and Biddeford Textile.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Donat and Anaise Beaudoin; her husband of 61 years, Charles Turcotte; her son, Real Turcotte; her brothers, Vic and Oreodore Beaudoin; and her sister, Jeannine Breault.
Irene is survived by: one sister, Rollande Charbonneau of Montreal Canada; two sons, John Turcotte and spouse Linda of Rollinsford, New Hampshire, and Donald Turcotte and spouse Anita of Biddeford, Maine; one daughter, Edith Turcotte and spouse Michele of Tucson, Arizona; and seven grandchildren, Mellissa Sessions Turcotte, Daryl Turcotte, Aimee and James Turcotte, Jeremy Turcotte and Justin and David Decker. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
A visitation will be held at Hope Memorial Chapel in Biddeford, Maine, on July 18 from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service.
