Maine State Police arrested a Limington man who is accused of stabbing his 91-year-old grandfather in the neck Tuesday night.

Daniel MacIsaac, 34, is accused of stabbing his grandfather, Ronald McCarthy, at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday at McCarthy’s Limington home on July Street. MacIsaac fled the scene and police subsequently arrested him, according to state police.

McCarthy was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries. Police did not provide an update on his condition.

MacIsaac is facing charges for attempted murder and violating the conditions of a previous release. He is being held at the York County Jail.
