NEW HIRES
Gideon Asen has hired Rosie Wennberg as an attorney. Wennberg has previously served as a law clerk at the Office of the Public Defender in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and as a summer associate and litigation associate at Bernstein Shur. She has a bachelor’s from Colby College and a juris doctor from the George Washington University School of Law.
Ashlee Goodwin is the new branch manager for the Sanford location of Atlantic Federal Credit Union. She spent 12 years at Northeast Credit Union as a business development officer, underwriter and branch assistant manager.
Maine Conservation Voters has hired Cathy Breen as director of government affairs, Lucy Hochschartner as climate and clean energy director and Nick Janzen as partnerships director. Previously, Breen was a state senator. Hochschartner was the deputy campaign manager for Pine Tree Power. Janzen was a law clerk to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and later became an energy attorney in private practice.
PROMOTIONS
Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Homes has promoted Alissa Dodds from funeral director to managing funeral director. She is the first female funeral director to be promoted to managing funeral director in the company’s history. She received a degree in funeral home management from Mount Ida College.
United Way of Southern Maine has promoted Mackenzie Staropoli to senior donor engagement manager and Patrick Robinson to manager of financial stability. Previously, Staropoli was resource development operations manager and Robinson was coordinator of financial stability. Staropoli has a bachelor’s in communications from Marist College and a master’s of education from Concordia University. Robinson has a bachelor’s in political science from Dickinson College.
Alan Sparn has been promoted to president of Wright-Ryan. Since joining the construction company in 2022, Sparn has been its chief operating officer. He has a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Tufts University and studied structural engineering at Northeastern University.
GENERAL
Michael Cato has been appointed to the board of directors at Bangor Savings Bank. Cato is currently the senior vice president and chief information officer at Bowdoin College. He holds a bachelor’s in zoology from Andrews University and a master’s of business administration from Wake Forest University.
