MECHANIC FALLS — Maine State Police were on site Saturday afternoon assisting local police as they investigate multiple deaths at a home on Highland Avenue, according to police.

Maine Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said state police are assisting Mechanic Falls police and there is no threat to the public.

Further details were unavailable Saturday night.

Several witnesses to the police presence have posted pictures of the 5 Highland Ave. address on social media. The home appears to be cordoned off with police tape and the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit is on scene.
