A New Hampshire man was sentenced to four years in prison after a jury found him guilty of attacking a 17-year-old girl in 2021.
Bohdan Dauphinais, 21, of Center Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, was convicted of aggravated assault and unlawful sexual touching in Biddeford District Court on Sept. 6, according to the York County District Attorney’s office.
The jury found that he had hit and strangled the victim. At his sentencing, Dauphinais also pleaded guilty to sexually touching the victim without her consent.
His total sentence is 10 years in prison with all but four years suspended and three years on probation.
“We appreciate that the jury listened carefully to this young victim’s testimony and convicted Bohdan Dauphinais of this attack,” York County District Attorney Kathryn Slattery said in a statement. “The sentence imposed recognizes the serious nature of the assault.”
