This is a 21-plus event and ID is required.

Library book sale

The Friends of the Bridgton Public Library are holding a fall book sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 21, at the book shed in the parking lot behind the library, rain or shine. Fill up a bag of books for $5 per bag. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own bags if possible. The money raised will support library literacy programs.

This year, in addition to sponsoring special educational presentations for children, the Friends donated $5,000 to purchase books that help pre-kindergarten children prepare for school. The Friends are always looking for new members and anyone interested in joining should contact Ev Lennon at evlennon@gmail.com. For more information about the library and its programs call 647-2472.
