A shelter-in-place order for parts of Plymouth was lifted Saturday morning and a person was arrested following a “critical incident,” the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office posted about the incident on Facebook about 8:30 p.m. Friday, writing that residents near Clark Road were asked to shelter in place. The road was closed “a short ways in from Rutland Road,” and one home in the area was evacuated, the department said.
In an update at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, the sheriff’s department said the shelter-in-place order had been lifted and there was no longer any risk to the public. The department also said one person was arrested in connection with the incident and faces a “yellow flag process,” referring to the state law that allows for the temporary removal of weapons from individuals considered dangerous to themselves or others.
Further information was not immediately available Saturday.
