As a family physician, I saw too many people cut corners when it comes to their own health because the cost of care is simply too expensive. I ran for office because I knew how important it was to have leaders committed to lowering the cost of prescription drugs and holding insurance companies accountable. I’m thrilled to be able to vote for two of those leaders, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, this Nov. 5.
Vice President Harris and Gov. Walz have spent their careers fighting for working families across the country. As president and vice president, they will fight every day to lower costs and look out for the health and economic well-being of all Mainers, not just those at the top.
Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda wants to end health care protections for people with preexisting conditions and increase the cost of prescription drugs for the 18 million seniors and others on Medicare, including nearly 375,000 Mainers. That’s not right. No one should have to worry they won’t be able to afford their medication.
Please join me in voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
