A work van carrying five people rolled over Friday morning on Interstate 295 in Freeport, blocking one of the northbound lanes for almost two hours.
The white GMC van was traveling north around 7 a.m. when it drove off the roadway, hit a crossover and rolled over, according to Maine State Police. The driver and three other passengers were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with injuries that authorities said were not life-threatening.
An investigation to determine what caused the crash is ongoing, state police said. The driver, who was identified as 29-year-old Edison Uscha-Roto, of South Portland, had a suspended license.
The van was carrying construction tools and equipment, which were strewn across the lane and into the median.
