Carter Peevy threw two touchdown passes to Cooper Heisey, and Jamaree Gibson returned an interception for a touchdown as Maine beat Albany, 34-20, in a Coastal Athletic Association football game Saturday in Albany, New York.
Peevy completed 20 of 24 passes for 193 yards for the Black Bears (3-2), who earned their second straight win. He threw a pair of 2-yard touchdown passes to Heisey, one in the third quarter and one in the fourth, as Maine scored 17 straight points to take a 27-14 lead.
Gibson intercepted a pass by Albany quarterback Myles Burkett with 5:20 left and returned it 78 yards for a score.
Jaharie Martin rushed 19 times for 83 yards and a touchdown for the Black Bears.
Burkett completed 19 of 32 passes for 202 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Great Danes (1-3).
BATES 24. WESLEYAN 13: Ryan Lynskey rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns to lift the Bobcats (1-2) past the Cardinals (2-1) in Middletown, Connecticut.
Lynskey scored on runs of 24 and 59 yards in the second quarter to give Bates a 14-3 lead. Colton Bosselait added an 86-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Gleason.
BOWDOIN 28, HAMILTON 21: Robbie Long threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Jed Hoggard with 5:03 left in the third quarter to lift the Polar Bears (1-2) to a win over the Continentals (0-3) in Brunswick.
Long completed 17 of 19 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns. Slade Postemski and Austin Hiscoe each had a touchdown recepetion.
MIDDLEBURY 24, COLBY 16: Brian Moran threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns as the Panthers (2-1) beat the Mules (0-3) in Middlebury, Vermont.
Miles Drake passed for 214 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 85 yards and a score for Colby.
ROCHESTER 42, UNE 21: Daniel Papantonis rushed 22 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns as the Yellowjackets (4-0) beat the Nor’easters (1-3) in Rochester, New York.
Chris Lang completed 14 of 25 passes for 176 yards with a touchdown and an interception for UNE. Damien Jones rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown.
ANNA MARIA 47, HUSSON 29: Ryan Russell completed 19 of 30 passes for 284 yards and four touchdowns as the Amcats (3-1) beat the Eagles (2-2) in Paxton, Massachusetts.
Max Clark threw for 244 yards for Husson, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
