Peter Francis Russo

YARMOUTH – Peter Francis Russo, 21, of Yarmouth, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 29, 2024.

Peter was born in Portland on April 7, 2003 to Elizabeth Woodman Russo and Michael Russo. After graduating from Yarmouth High School in 2021, Peter and a friend traveled across the United States. He attended UMO and spent his summers working at Toddy Brook Golf Course, a job that he enjoyed very much.

Peter loved animals and found peace in the outdoors. At home, you might have found him in the kitchen creating new recipes, playing the piano for his Mom or walking down back with his dog, Geo. He grew up alongside his sister and their many cousins enjoying video games, football, and skiing. He loved to hike and recently summited Mt. Katahdin. Above all he was a practical man that could make everyone laugh. His humor and quick wit will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Woodman Russo, of Yarmouth, and his father, Michael Russo, of Biddeford; his sister, Laura Russo of Yarmouth; his paternal grandparents Dennis and Ellen Russo of Shrewsbury, Mass.; aunts Sara and Becca Russo, also of Massachusetts, uncle, Chris Powers of Biddeford, aunts Jennifer Lainey and Joyce Pelotte, uncles Jeffrey Woodman, Dan Lainey, Jeremy Pelotte; close family friend, Steve Doveno, all of Yarmouth; cousins Nicholas, Connor, Jason, Amber and Adam; a large extended family and many other friends who loved him dearly, including his dog, Geo.

Predeceased by grandparents Francis and Gloria Woodman of Yarmouth and Kim and Kathy Powers of Biddeford.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Tuesday Oct. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. The family invites you to an outdoor Celebration of Life at Peter’s home on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.
