The upcoming election implores us to consider that, although we are all Americans, we are also a diverse people with many viewpoints, beliefs, ideas and perceptions.
That is the great strength of the U.S. Through our diversity we become stronger, not weaker. Democracy is an action word. Not just an idea or a notion. Citizenship demands that we embrace the ballot box. It is our right and responsibility to vote. We make our voices heard by voting! We must take the time to educate ourselves.
America was expertly designed to be a work in progress. Always striving to become better, more tolerant, accepting, vibrant, compassionate, and a beacon of hope for all the world.
Vote and encourage others to vote. Together we can give hope to the generations to come.
