Luke Cunniffe scored two goals in the second half Tuesday as Windham pulled away to a 2-0 victory against Cheverus in an SMAA boys’ soccer game in Portland.
The victory improved the Eagles to 10-1-1 and dropped the Stags to 4-8.
KENNEBUNK 3, WESTBROOK 1: Ben Urban broke a scoreless deadlock in the final minute of the first half, then connected again early in the second half as the Rams (7-4-1) beat the Blue Blazes (6-5-1) in Kennebunk.
Cooper Thompson also scored for the hosts before Junior Yala answered for Westbrook.
GREELY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Connor Skillin scored twice, and Owen Piesik had a goal and three assists to lead the Rangers (9-0-1) past the Patriots (7-4-1) in Gray.
Ethan King and Gavin Byrne also scored.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1, WELLS 0: Zach Leinwand scored the only goal as the Panthers (7-4-1) beat the Warriors (3-9).
GIRLS’ SOCCER
BUCKFIELD 7, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Brittany Carrier scored five goals to lead the Bucks (11-1) over the Seagulls (3-9) at Buckfield.
Chloe Bennett and Cori Merrill each added a goal.
GREELY 8, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Abby Lennox paced a balanced offense with two goals as the Rangers (9-0-3) defeated the Patriots (4-7-2) in Gray.
Sophie Cyr, Avery Bush, Molly Partridge, Lily Pierce, Jackie Franklin and Tori Zandan each chipped in with a goal.
WINDHAM 5, PORTLAND 0: Goals by Neve Ledbetter, Kyla Harvie and Stella Jarvais staked Windham to a 3-0 halftime lead, and the Eagles (10-1-1) overcame a 27-save performance by Portland keeper Linda Nicholson to defeat the Bulldogs (1-12) in Windham.
Emily Talbot rounded out the scoring with two goals in the second half.
LAKE REGION 8, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Margo Tremblay scored three goals as the Lakers (3-7-2) rolled past the Hawks (1-11) in Naples.
Bella Smith, Marissa Harlow, Maritza Lopez, Emma Scribner and Helena Sheldrick were the other goal scorers.
FREEPORT 3, YARMOUTH 0: Claire Nadeau scored twice in the first half as the Falcons (8-3-1) celebrated their Senior Night by defeating the Clippers (5-3-3) in Freeport.
Nadeau converted a corner kick by Silvi Strong midway through the first half, then made it 2-0 with an assist from Isla Pattershall.
Kenzie Cochran put in a rebound after a corner kick in the second half.
Karleigh Costello made six saves for the shutout. Yarmouth keeper Marian Pitney stopped five shots.
CAPE ELIZABETH 5, WELLS 0: Noelle Mallory netted a pair of goals as the Capers (8-1-2) pulled away in the second half against the Warriors (6-6) at Cape Elizabeth.
Campbell DeGeorge scored the only first-half goal. Addie Miller and Maddie de Vries joined the goal-scoring column in the second half.
YORK 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Chloe DeLuca headed in a Scarlett Ring corner kick in overtime to give the Wildcats a win over the Raiders in York.
Ring also assisted on a first-half goal by Zoe Carroll. Fryeburg tied the game just before halftime.
FIELD HOCKEY
BIDDEFORD 7, MARSHWOOD 0: Mia Mariello and Emily Hussey each scored twice, leading the Tigers (11-2) past the Hawks (4-8) in South Berwick.
Hannah Loranger, Lola Laverriere and Eliza Doyon were the other goal scorers.
ST. DOMINIC 8, WELLS 0: Ava Martin’s hat trick paced the Saints (7-4-1) past the Warriors (2-10-1) in Wells.
WINDHAM 2, SANFORD 1: Zocia LaWind struck for two goals in the final three minutes of the first quarter, and the Eagles (8-3) made the lead stand up against the visiting Spartans (6-4).
Zoe Dries and Sarah Smyth assisted on LaWind’s goals.
Paige Sevigny of Sanford scored in the second quarter against Windham goalie Olivia McPherson, who made two saves. Sanford’s Megan Sheppard stopped six shots.
VOLLEYBALL
PORTLAND 3, MASSABESIC/SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Asanti Bendasta recorded four blocks and four kills, Soleil Alaari had two aces, two blocks and five kills, and the Bulldogs (2-10) beat the host Mustangs (1-10) in three sets, 25-13, 25-19, 25-19.
Portland also got four aces and four kills from Millicent Keiter, three aces and five kills from Katharine Weed, and four aces from Harper Tenenbaum.
FALMOUTH 3, GORHAM 2: Sofie Asbjornsen finished with 18 kills and four aces as the Navigators (8-5) grinded out a five-set win over the Rams (9-4) at Falmouth, 17-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-25, 15-5.
Hannah Roche had 19 assists and two kills, Abby Shaw recorded 18 assists and two aces, and Olive Clark had nine kills and two aces.
GREELY 3, YARMOUTH 2: Annabelle Talley had 22 kills, 11 digs and three aces, and the Rangers (9-4) rallied past the visiting Clippers (9-3) in five sets, 21-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19, 15-11.
Maddie Croteau chipped in with five aces, seven digs, 12 assists and a block, Maddie Huntington had 10 blocks and two kills, and Maggie Wilder recorded 11 digs.

YARMOUTH 3, FREEPORT 1: The Clippers (9-1-2) got goals from Ian Lawrence, George Brown and Gideon Ahrens in a win over the Falcons (3-9-1) at Yarmouth.
