The E-ZPass customer service center at Maine Turnpike Authority headquarters in Portland will be moved temporarily to allow for a monthslong renovation project.

Starting Monday and likely running into January, the center will be located to the rear of the headquarters at 2360 Congress St., just off turnpike Exit 46.

To ensure a smooth transition, the center will close early at 4:30 p.m. Friday and reopen in the new location at 8 a.m. Monday, said turnpike spokesperson Erin Courtney.

The renovations will improve the center’s layout and operations, with upgraded entrances, service windows and lighting that will enhance both customer and employee experiences, Courtney said.

Signs will direct visitors to the center’s temporary location, which will be open as usual from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. E-ZPass accounts also can be managed at EZPassSaves.com.
