OAKLAND — For the second year in a row, Bangor took out Camden Hills to earn the Class A North girls soccer crown with a 3-2 victory Tuesday at Messalonskee High School.
Bangor (16-1) advances to face South champion Scarborough (14-1-2) in the Class A title game Saturday at Morse High School in Bath.
The second-seeded Windjammers (16-1) took an early lead on a goal by Britta Denny.
Teagan Athlerley evened the match with a goal for the top-seeded Rams responded with about 10 minutes remaining in the first half.
Clara Oldenburg gave Bangor a 2-1 lead early in the second half, then Gabby Roy added an insurance goal with 11 minutes remaining.
Camden Hills cut its deficit to one goal on another goal by Denny. The Windjammers had a free kick from outside the 18-yard with 1:35 remaining, but the Rams cleared the ball to lock down the win.
Bangor fell to Scarborough 2-0 in last year’s Class A championship.
