The U.S. Marshals Service announced the arrests in Portland this week of two men facing sex offense charges in other states.

Samuel Linkert, 42, was wanted by police in Minnesota for criminal sexual conduct in the first degree. Authorities there have been looking for Linkert since December 2022, the marshals service said.

Raymond Sylvester, 79, was wanted by police in New Hampshire for failing to register as a sex offender out of Concord. A warrant for his arrest was issued June 1, 2024.

Both men were charged as fugitives from justice and are pending extradition back to their states.
