‘WOMEN LAUGHING ALONE WITH SALAD’

Performances run through March 30. Mad Horse Theatre Company, 24 Mosher St., South Portland. Cost is pay-what-you-can. madhorse.com.

Perfectly timed to coincide with Women’s History Month, “Women Laughing Alone With Salad” is a show infused with feminism and many sides of comedic hot takes. With inspiration drawn from endless advertising that perpetuates a range of beauty myths about women, the play takes aim at image-obsessed culture. You’ll experience it all through characters Meredith, Tori and Sandy.
