The Maine Celtics took the lead in the first two minutes of the first quarter and coasted to a 129-100 NBA G League win over the Windy City Bills Wednesday night at Chicago.
Maine, which has five games remaining in the regular season, has won 12 of 14 games to move into second place in the Eastern Conference with an 18-11 record. Capital City is first at 18-9.
The Celtics broke away with a 10-0 run in the first quarter, shooting 67 percent from the field to take a 21-11 lead.
Drew Peterson had 19, JD Davison 16, Miles Norris 14, Jordan Schakel 12, Tristan Enaruna 11 and Hason Ward 10.
