Morse senior Oscar Nelson prepares to swing during a scrimmage against Oxford Hills at Bowdoin College on April 4, 2025.

Wyatt Aceto, Brunswick sophomore shortstop/pitcher: Aceto’s pitches can hit the mid-80s and cause opposing batters to swing and miss. As a freshman, he maintained a 1.16 ERA and held opponents to a .143 batting average.

Henry Blood, Brunswick senior left field/first base: Blood returns to the Dragons’ lineup as one of the team’s top bats, hitting .352 with an on base percentage of .500 last year.

Ben Bolduc, Freeport senior outfielder: Part of the best 1-2 hitting combo head coach Steve Shukie has had at Freeport, the all-WMC first teamer provides power to the lineup. Last year, Bolduc hit .367 with with six doubles and 13 RBI.

Liam Emmons, Freeport junior pitcher/outfield: A first-team all-WMC selection at first base last season, Emmons will primarily pitch and play center field in 2025. At the plate last spring, he hit .418 and had a 1.084 OPS with two home runs and 14 RBI.

Oscar Gallant, Morse sophomore first base/pitcher: After getting his fair share of experience as a freshman, the sophomore southpaw is slated to be the Shipbuilders’ No. 2 pitcher this season.

Kenny Mecham, Richmond senior third base/shortstop/pitcher: The 2024 Class D South runner-up Bobcats’ top returning bat. Last season, Mecham either led or tied for the team-high in batting average (.580), on base percentage (.639), hits (29), RBI (26) and extra-base hits (nine).

Jackson Murray, Morse senior shortstop: Murray will be the Shipbuilders’ sparkplug at the top of the lineup and a reliable defender in the middle infield. Look for him to especially wreak havoc on the base path. Murray’s speed will give him a few extra-base hits and steals.

Oscar Nelson, Morse senior pitcher/utility: Coming off a junior season in which he hit .392 and was named to the all-KVAC second team, Nelson will be Morse’s punch at the plate and, as the team’s ace, on the rubber. The Colby-Sawyer commit will also play first, second and third base.
