WISCASSET – David A. Green, 84, of Wiscasset, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, to Arthur and Dorothy (Theriault) Green and later made Maine his home, graduating from Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln.
Following graduation, David enlisted in the United States Navy, beginning a lifelong career in service and shipbuilding. He later attended Northeastern University at night while working full time and spent his career working on submarines and ships at the Charlestown Navy Yard, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and Bath Iron Works.
David married Sandra (Pinkham), and together they raised three children. Outside of work, he enjoyed the outdoors, particularly bowhunting for deer and raising beagles for rabbit hunting.
David was predeceased by his parents and his former wife, Sandra. He is survived by his sons Randall D. Cearbaugh and his partner Teena Crocker of Bowdoinham; David W. Green and his wife Kim; and Derek J. Green and his husband Rick Blanchette, along with six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his siblings Sally Spencer, Diana McKechnie, Jeff Green, Debbi Green-Martin, and Joannie Garrison, and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
