Thursday, Dec. 6: Girl Scouts of Maine will be hosting a Parent Information and Registration Meetings at 6:30 p.m., at North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail. Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the many different and fun ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their personal best. Participants will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer. Girl Scouts of Maine serves more than 12,000 girls statewide in grades K-12. Saturday, Dec. 8: The Lake Region High School Community Service Academy invites you to a Senior Citizen Ball from 5-7 p.m. at Lakes Region High School’s cafeteria. Come socialize and dance to your favorite tunes. Desserts, coffee, and tea provided.

Dec. 8: Craft Fair at Highland Lake Grange from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The grange is located at the corner of Route 302 and Hardy Road in Westbrook. There will be baked goods, handcrafted items, jewelry, pottery, Raggedy Ann/Andy dolls, baby items, paparazzi items, jams, pickles, salsa, hot sauces, and many more items. Something for everyone. Sunday, Dec. 9: From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Raymond Village Library will hold its annual Bake and Gift Basket Sale. There will be pastries, cookies, candies, pies, breads and all kinds of goodies to help cut down on your holiday baking. The popular holiday gift baskets are back. All sizes and low prices.

Dec. 9: The choir of the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ gathers to bring the Christmas spirit at 4 p.m. in the beautiful sanctuary at 941 Meadow Road (Route 121) in Casco Village. The choir is under the direction of Eugene Long and will be accompanied by Evan Cuddy, with very special guest musicians joining them to bring a variety of music from sacred and classical Christmas favorites to contemporary selections. Mixing within the program for everyone to sing will be your favorite Christmas Carols. After the concert there will be refreshments for all.

Sunday, Dec. 16: Public Christmas Sing-along 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Raymond Village Community Church, 27 Main Street (Route 121 just north of Route 302) in Raymond Village. No service, no sermon, no collection. All the old favorites from all traditions and all ages, led by RVCC’s new music director, Karen Strange. • The National Alliance on Mental Illness: welcomes any family members or friends who find themselves needing support for dealing with someone challenged with a mental illness. • The Wings ‘N Things Clothes Closet of the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ (941 Meadow Road, Casco Village) invites you to come shopping. You won’t believe your eyes when you see all the beautiful new and gently used clothing, mostly name-brands, most $1 or less. Open Saturdays from noon-4 p.m. or by appointment.
