SANFORD — There’s a referendum vote for the new high school and technical school project set for Jan. 13, but registered voters don’t have to wait to cast their ballots.

City clerk Sue Cote said absentee ballots are now available.

Folks can call the office at 324-9125 to request a ballot be sent to them.

They can also drop by the city clerk’s office at 919 Main St., during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

They can take advantage of extended office hours set for Thursday, Jan. 8, when the city clerk’s office will be open until 7 p.m.

Sample ballots may be viewed online at the city’s public notice bulletin board on www.sanfordmaine.org, as well as under the City Clerk and Voter Registration current election pages.

Those with questions about their registration status or where to vote can call the city clerk’s office at 324-9125 or voter registration at 324-9107.
