NEW FACES

Odelle Bowman was named executive director of L/A Arts, Lewiston Auburn’s local arts agency. Bowman, of Lewiston, has been the executive director of A Company of Girls, a national-award-winning after-school program for 16 years. Bowman is a professional actor, director, storyteller and arts educator; and is the co-producer and founder of the Cassandra Project, a women’s performing arts festival in Portland. 

David Kennedy joined Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker as a manager in the firm’s Health Care/Not for Profit Group in Portland. Kennedy, of Falmouth, was most recently with Mercy Hospital.

Meghan McInnis Doyon joined the firm as a consultant in its Portland office. Doyon, of Saco, will work in the firm’s government consulting group. She was previously with Health Dialog. 

Tony Payne was named business development director at Clark Insurance. Payne, of Falmouth, previously executive director of the Alliance for Maine’s Future, advocates for Maine’s economy. He also serves on the board of visitors of the University of Southern Maine and is chairman of the Falmouth Town Council. 

Len Allen joined Onpoint Health Data as director of information services and chief database architect. Allen, of Portland, will oversee Onpoint’s application development and database management functions.

The following individuals joined Martin’s Point Health Care in Portland: Dr. Timothy Gagne is board certified in family medicine and works with adult, pediatric and obstetric patients. He recently completed his family practice residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Larisa Sememuk is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Sememuk was previously a clinical director for the University of Southern Maine’s University Health and Counseling Service in Gorham and Portland.

Kate Adams is an advanced practice registered nurse and holds her adult nurse practitioner and women’s health nurse practitioner certifications. She was previously with Fore River Urology in Portland.

Jenner Greil is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by ANCC and is licensed as a family nurse practitioner in Maine and an advanced practice registered nurse in New Hampshire. 

Sara Denning-Bolle joined Martin’s Point Health Care’s location in Biddeford. Denning-Bolle is board certified in family practice. Her medical interests include adult family practice, geriatrics, end of life care and hospice care. 

Dr. Steven Edwards joined Martin’s Point Health Care in South Portland. Edwards specializes in family medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship in family medicine and neuromusculo- skeletal medicine from University Healthcare/UNECOM.

Ann Lovegren Conley is an advanced practice registered nurse and a Maine registered nurse. She has a DEA license and a BLS certificate. Her medical interests include asthma management, hypertension and eating disorders. 

Dr. Carly McAteer joined Martin’s Point Health Care in Gorham. Dr. McAteer is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Maine Medical Association. Her special medical interests include women’s health, maternity and newborn care and preventative health. 

Dr. Louis Hanson joined Martin’s Point Health Care in West Falmouth. Dr. Hanson opened a private medical practice in October, 1978 in Cumberland. His interests include education, quality improvement, transparency of data and shared decision-making. 

Kenneth Fletcher will lead the state’s Office of Energy Independence and Security. Fletcher has more than 35 years of managerial and technical experience in private and public sectors. Fletcher, of Winslow, worked in the pulp and paper industry for more than 30 years. He was previously a consultant providing managerial and technical expertise. He served eight years as a state representative for House District 54. 

Steve Carter was named president and general manager at WCSH 6 in Portland. Carter was formerly vice president of marketing and promotion at KUSA/KTVD-TV, Gannett’s NBC and MyNetwork affiliates in Denver, Co. Carter has been with KUSA for 19 years and with KTVD after Gannett acquired it in 2006.

Lois Napier Skillings was named president and chief executive officer of Mid Coast Health Services. Herbert Paris, the current president, is planning to retire this summer. Skillings has extensive clinical and leadership experience in the health care industry. Prior to her role as executive vice president, she was vice president of nursing and patient care services at Mid Coast. 

Michael Bourque was promoted to senior vice president for external affairs for the MEMIC Group. Bourque, of Portland, has worked for the company for the past 15 years. He was appointed vice president for corporate marketing and communications in March 2004. 

Meg Fleming was promoted to director of sales for SymQuest in Westbrook. Fleming has worked at SymQuest for more than 18 years in its office in South Burlington, Vt. She was most recently director of services. 

Robert Davis was promoted to wealth credit adviser for Key Private Bank and Susan Pope to senior business banker of KeyBank’s southern Maine business banking team.

Davis will be responsible for business lending and consumer customized credit, as well as providing guidance on credit issues for high-net-worth clients. Davis joined Key in 1998 and was previously a business banking relationship manager.

Pope is responsible for managing and growing Key’s business portfolio. She joined KeyBank in 2001 and previously worked as the business banking relationship manager for Key’s southern Maine business banking Team.

Wright-Ryan Construction recently promoted several of its longtime employees.

Tom Carey was promoted to project manager. He joined Wright-Ryan in 2003 as a project engineer, and is overseeing construction of the Maine Street Station Inn in Brunswick. He is also project manager for the Maine College of Art.

John Moynihan was promoted to assistant project manager. He joined the firm as a project engineer in 2007.

Rob Barrett was promoted to superintendent. He joined the firm as a field carpenter in May 2007. He is the superintendent on the University of New England’s Laboratory project. 

AWARDS

Mike Walsh, SQL Server Practice lead at Winxnet, was honored as the Microsoft SQL Server Most Valuable Professional. The award recognizes exceptional technology community leaders worldwide who share their expertise with users and Microsoft. 

Oxford Networks was named Business of the Year by the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce and received the president’s award from the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce. For the fifth year in a row, the firm was recognized as one of the best places to work company by the Society of Human Resource Managers. 

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Watershed Management was named the 2010 Conservation Partner of the Year by the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District. 

Bowman Constructors in Newport was recognized by Women Unlimited with the Celebration of Partnerships Award. The company received the award for giving job opportunities to ex-offenders during its work on the recently completed senior housing facility in Bangor.
