BIDDEFORD — Dorothy J. Paquette, 88, of Biddeford, died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Greenwood Center in Sanford after a long illness.

She was born in Biddeford on March 31, 1928, the daughter of Ovide and Rose Binette Petit, and was educated in Biddeford schools.

On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Jean Paul Paquette in St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. He died on Nov. 29, 2009.

Mrs. Paquette worked 15 years with Elm St. Laundry and White Star Laundry in Biddeford. She worked five years with York Heel in Saco, and two years with Allan Box in Kennebunk, retiring in 1988.

She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, shopping and dining out.

She is survived by: one son, Danny Paquette and his wife Carol of Arundel; one sister, Blanche Bourgeault of Saco; three grandsons, Keith Paquette and his wife Megan of New Hampshire, Dr. William Paquette and his wife Judi of New York, and Nicholas Paquette and his wife Julie of Scarborough; one granddaughter, Christie Connell and her husband Matthew of Berwick; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
