PORTLAND — A New York man pleaded guilty Friday in U.S. District Court to robbing a Saco pharmacy in 2014.
According to a press release from U.S. Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II, Scott McMahon, 32, of Orchard Park, New York, pleaded guilty before Judge Jon D. Levy to robbing the Rite Aid pharmacy at 461 Main St. on Sept. 10, 2014.
McMahon approached the pharmacy counter, told a Rite Aid pharmacy employee, “I’m watching you,” then handed the employee a note that read, “Give me oxycontin. If you don’t it will get ugly,” according to the press release.
The employee placed OxyContin pills into a plastic bag and handed the bag to McMahon, who fled the store, according to the release.
McMahon faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after the completion of a pre-sentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.
The investigation was conducted by the Saco Police Department.
