Following a skills clinic to get the season under way on Saturday, the Polar Bears’ revamped lineup racked up a 53-0 win over Amherst in a Sunday scrimmage.

Bowdoin will open its regular season campaign at home this upcoming Saturday against rival Colby. Match time is scheduled for noon.

Maura Allen spearheaded the Bowdoin attack with three tries. Emily King earned a try and a conversion for the Polar Bears, while Hayleigh Kein, Charlotte Kleiman, Kameryn Sanchez and Maggie Acosta had one try apiece. Addison Carvajal converted four tries and added a three-point penalty kick for the Polar Bears, while Emily Athanas-Linden teamed with Sanchez to run the back line in Bowdoin’s win.
