WOOLWICH — The Bob Meade Classic 10K and 1-Mile Fun Run is scheduled to be held on Aug. 3 as past of the Woolwich Day celebration.
The Fun Run begins at 8 a.m., with the 10K slated for an 8:30 a.m. start.
The hilly course begins and ends at Nequasset Park (behind the town office and fire station) and runs through residential areas, featuring both paved and dirt roads.
The cost is $12.50 for preregistration, $15 on the day of the race for the 10K, while the Fun Run costs $5 (preregistration) and $8 on race day. Day of the race registration begins at 7 a.m.
Proceeds will support activities of the Woolwich Recreation Committee.
T-shirts will be provided to the first 50 to register, and awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in two categories (ages 12-21 and 22-and-over). The top boy and girl will receive an award in the Fun Run.
