BRUNSWICK — Visit Curtis Memorial Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday July 10 for “Go Botany,” a hands-on workshop with botanist and environmental educator Don Hudson.

Hudson plans to bring plant material to the event, and to guide attendees through the process of using Go Botany — an online tool at http://gobotany. newenglandwild.org/ that helps users identify plants.

Go Botany also works on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets. The library will provide some laptops, audience members can bring smart phones and tablets.

Outdoor enthusiasts can observe plants closely, take pictures and where allowed take samples. Go Botany has a simple key that allows amateur naturalists, hikers, campers and plant lovers to identify over 1200 common native and naturalized New England plants.

The program is free, no registration required. For more information, call 725-5242, ext. 510.
