Former U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe will lead the 2013 Moxie Day Parade.
As grand marshal, Snowe will lead the state’s largest summer parade with floats, bands and Mainers who love Moxie beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 13.
The parade, which attracts more than 100 participants, begins at Capital Avenue, travels down Route 196 and up Main Street before concluding at the intersection of Main and South/North streets near Barnie’s Variety Store.
According to Lisbon officials, more than 50,000 people attend the three-day Moxie Festival. Lisbon has approximately 9,300 residents.
