BATH — There will be a family information night about the C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Pre-K program at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Dike Newell School, located at 3 Wright Drive in Bath.
Children who will be 4 years old by Oct. 15 and reside in RSU 1 are eligible for the C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Pre-K program, which provides free, inclusive, developmentally appropriate preschool programming to 4 year old children in the RSU 1 district. The information night will allow parents to learn about the program offerings for the 2015-16 school year. (All programs will be offered pending RSU1 budget approval.)
Applications will be available that night, as well as at rsu1choices.blogspot.com, and at all RSU1 elementary schools, starting May 1. A lottery drawing will take place the week of May 11.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
